Transport activity statistics characterize the quantitative and qualitative aspects of the processes that take place during the transport of goods and passengers. Transport statistics are divided into modes of transport (rail, road, river, air, pipeline and electricity) and include statistics on freight traffic (tonnes and tonne-kilometers) and passenger traffic (passenger and passenger-km). .
