Labour force in the Republic of Moldova - employment and unemployment in the 2nd quarter 2012

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the 2nd quarter of 2012 the economically active population (employed population plus unemployed persons) of the Republic of Moldova was 1266,9 thousand persons, less with 4,7% (-61,8 thousand) compared to the 2nd quarter of 2011. Active population structure has changed, as follows: the share of employment increased from 93,8% to 95,5% and the percentage of unemployed decreased from 6,2% to 4,5%.
