Passengers and freight transportation in the Republic of Moldova in January-June 2021

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that 29,6 million passengers were transported with public transport in January-June 2021, with 12,6% more than in the similar period of 2020. The passengers turnover constituted 1382,9 million passenger-kilometers, with 16,9% more compared to the January-June 2020.

In January-June 2021 the railway, road, river and air transport enterprises transported 7,7 million tonnes of goods, a volume higher than the one recorded in the same period of 2020 with 8,1%. The turnover of goods totaled 2276,5 million tonnes-km, with 5,4% more compared to the corresponding period of 2020.
