National Bureau of Statistics informs that, exports of goods in June 2016 registered a value of 157,4 mio. US dollars, with 2,9% more than in the previous month and with 12,9% less compared to June 2015. Imports of goods in June 2016 registered a value of 324,7 mio. US dollars, with 1,0% less than in the previous month and with 7,7% - compared to June 2015.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, producer prices (average sale prices of agricultural products by agricultural enterprises) in January-June 2016 compared to the corresponding period of the previous year increased with 3,8%.

During 26-28 July 2016, "Improved Regional Statistics in Republic Moldova" EU Project, in close cooperation with National Bureau of Statistics organized a Workshop on pilot production survey of small farms in the district of Causeni. The event was designed for all stakeholders involved in preparation and implementation of the pilot survey: NBS Agricultural Statistic staff, NBS local staff in Causeni, supervisors and interviewers.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-June 2016, 1834 building permits for residential and non-residential buildings were issued, down with 14,4% compared to January-June 2015.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, volume index of global agricultural production, in all types of households (agricultural enterprises, farms and population households) in January-June 2016 registered 104,1% compared to January-June 2015. The growth of global agricultural production was determined by the increase of vegetal production with 21,5% and of livestock production - with 1,1%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in June 2016 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 1078,5 thou. tonnes of goods, with 2,2% more than in the previous month and with 9,4% lees compared to June 2015. The turnover of goods in June 2016 summed up 313,3 mio. tonne-km, with 2,7% more than in the previous month and with 6,1% less compared to June 2015.

The EU project "Improved Regional Statistics in Republic of Moldova” in collaboration with the National Bureau of Statistics, organized on July 13th, 2016 the National Workshop "Harmonization of the demand and supply of regional statistics. The Workshop offered to the main users and producers of regional statistics the opportunity to discuss and agree on the main issues related to the regional statistics production and use in Republic of Moldova and the necessary actions for improvements.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, average life length in the Republic of Moldova in 2015 constituted 71,5 years, including 67,5 years for men and 75,5 years for women. In 2015 was registered an increase of deaths number compared to 2014, the mortality rate being 11,2 deaths per 1000 inhabitants. The infant mortality rate represented 9,7 deaths of children under 1 year per 1000 live births.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-May 2016 exports of goods amounted 748,7 mln. USD, while imports of goods amounted 1544,5 mln. USD. Compared to the same period of the 2015, exports decreased by 7,8% and imports by 5,5%.The trade balance deficit in January-May 2016 has been of 795,8 mil. USD, with 25,9 mln. USD (+ 3,2%) less than that recorded in the corresponding period of 2015.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in June 2016 the annual inflation (for the last 12 months from June 2015 to June 2016) registered 7,4%, including: food products – 7,6%, nonfood products – 6,9% and services – 7,6%. Also the consumer price index in June 2016 compared to May 2016 registered 99,7%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2015 the number of small and medium sized enterprises (SME) was 49,8 thousand enterprises, or with 0,5 thousand enterprises (1,0%) less than in 2014. The Republic of Moldova has completed data mapping which is the backbone for the implementation of the 2030 Development Agenda. The exercise was organized under the leadership of the State Chancellery and the National Bureau of Statistics, with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Similar pilots are being organized in other seven countries, with UNDP’s assistance.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the first quarter of 2016 the Gross domestic product on gross series totaled 27097 mil. lei current market prices, increasing - in real terms - by 0,8% compared to first quarter of 2015. On the series seasonally adjusted, Gross domestic product increased by 0,3% compared to the first quarter of 2015 and by 1,7% compared to the fourth quarter of 2015.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in quarter I 2016, monthly disposable incomes of population summed up in average per person 2026,8 lei, which is with 9,3% more than in the similar period of 2015. Monthly population expenditures in quarter I 2016 in average per person constituted 2058,5 lei, which is with 7,6% more than in the corresponding period of 2015.
