National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to preliminary data, the Gross Domestic Product, estimated for the quarter IV of 2022, amounted to 74,8 billion lei, current market prices. Compared to the quarter IV 2021, GDP decreased, in real terms, by 10,6%  on the gross series and by 11,8% on the seasonally adjusted series. In 2022, the Gross Domestic Product, according to preliminary data, amounted to 272,6 billion lei, decreasing in real terms by 5,9% compared to 2021.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2022 compared to the previous year, industrial production (gross series) decreased by 5,1%. The decrease in production in 2022 compared to the previous year was generated by decreases in production in the extractive industry (-4,9%), in the manufacturing industry (-4,5%) and in the production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning (-8,4%).
