National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in August 2016 the producer prices in industry increased with 0,1% compared to July 2016, with 1,0% compared to December 2015 and with 2,5% - compared to August 2015.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the second quarter of 2016 the Gross domestic product on gross series totaled 31434 mil. lei current market prices, increasing - in real terms - by 1,8% compared to second quarter of 2015. On the series seasonally adjusted, Gross domestic product increased by 1,0% compared to the second quarter of 2015 and by 0,6% compared to the first quarter of 2016.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in quarter II 2016, monthly disposable incomes of population summed up in average per person 2030,4 lei, which is with 1,7% more than in the similar period of 2015. In real terms (adjusted to the consumer price index) population incomes registered a decrease of 5,8%.

The structure of the active population has not changed significantly: 96,0% are employed persons and 4,0% - unemployed.

In comparison with January-June 2015 the number of tourists has increased, mainly due to the increase with 3,1 times of the number of tourists in touristic and agrotouristic pensions and with 24,2% in hotels and motels.
