National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to the revised data, in 2012 Gross Domestic Product summed up 88228 million lei, current market prices, and has decreased - in real terms - with 0,7% compared to 2011.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that network of primary and general secondary education is constituted of 1374 schools, gymnasiums and lyceums, including 1372 day schools and 2 evening schools. The majority of primary and general secondary education (98,7%) represents public property. At the same time, in the country activated 18 non-public lyceums which are located only in urban areas.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in November 2013 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 1560,6 thou. tonnes of goods with 2,6% less than in the previous month and with 30,9% more compared to November 2012. In January-November 2013 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 12437,5 thou. tonnes of goods, with 22,8% more than in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Living standard of the population
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in quarter III 2013, monthly disposable incomes of population summed up in average per person 1755,5 lei, which is with 16,6% more than in the similar period of 2012. In real terms (adjusted to the consumer price index) population incomes registerd an increase of 12,1%. Monthly population expenditures in quarter III 2013 in average per person constituted 1888,0 lei, which is with 12,6% more than in the corresponding period of 2012.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in October 2013 the average gross nominal earnings constituted 3785,4 Lei and it increased with 8,7% compared to October 2012. The index of the real salary in October 2013 compared to October 2012 was 103,8%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 3rd quarter 2013 the economically active population (employed population and unemployed persons) of the Republic of Moldova was 1328,2 thousand persons, more with 3,2% (41,3 thou.) compared to the 3rd quarter 2012. The structure of the active population has changed as follows: the share of employed persons increased from 95,2% to 96,1%, while the share of unemployed persons decreased from 4,8% to 3,9%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, the social protection bodies of the population of the Republic of Moldova record about 183 000 people with disabilities. On average, from 10 000 of inhabitants there are 516 people with disabilities and every sixth person with disability fall into the category of severe disability. People with disabilities represent 5,2% of total population and the children with disabilities - 2,1% of the total number of children in Moldova.
