The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according the situation as of January 1, 2014, the dwelling stock of the Republic of Moldova represented 80614,6 thousand m². 31719,4 thousand m² or 39,3% of the total dwelling stock is in urban localities, and 48895,2 thousand m² or – 60,7% in the rural ones. The level of insurance of population with dwelling stock per inhabitant represented, in average, 22,7 m² - at the national level, 21,1 m² - in urban localities and 23,8 m² - in rural localities.

The structure of the active population has changed as follows: the share of employed persons increasead from 91,9% to 94,9%, while the share of unemployed persons decreased from 8,1% to 5,1%.
