The National Bureau of Statistics informs that 259,1 thou. tourists attended collective tourist accommodation establishments in the period of January-September 2022, or 2,1 times more compared to the similar period of 2021. The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-September 2022, 173,9 million passengers were transported by public transport, an increase of 19,8% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. This evolution was mainly determined by the increase in the number of passengers transported by air (+40,1%), by road transport (+21,6%) and by trolleybuses (+19,1%). At the same time, there was a decrease in the number of passengers transported by river transport (-23,5%) and rail (-11,5%).
