The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-March 2025, the number of visitors (tourists and excursionists), participants in tourism organized by travel agencies and tour operators amounted to 59.2 thousand people (8.7% more than in January-March 2024), of which:

• inbound tourism (receiving foreign citizens into the country) recorded 12.6 thousand people (+61.7% compared to January-March 2024);

• outbound tourism (travel of residents of the Republic of Moldova abroad) - 34.0 thousand people (+11.1%);

• domestic tourism (travel of residents of the Republic of Moldova within the country, for tourist purposes) - 12.6 thousand people (-21.5%).
