Labour underutilization in the Republic of Moldova in the fourth quarter of 2022
 
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that according to the results of the Labour Force Survey (LFS), in the fourth quarter of 2022, the labour underutilization of population aged 15 years and older constituted 81,1 thousand persons, which is 1,6 times more than in the fourth quarter of 2021 and with 12,2% more than in the fourth quarter of 2020. The share of the labour underutilization in the total extended labour force (underutilization rate) was of 8,8%, which is 3,1 p.p. more than in the fourth quarter of 2021.
 
The underutilization rate for men was 9,8%, for women - 7,8%, and respectively in urban areas 6,8% and in rural areas 10,5%.
