National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to the results of the Labour Force Survey (LFS), in the fourth quarter of 2022 the labour force (active population of 15 years and over) of the Republic of Moldova, which includes the employed population and unemployed population, was 903,6 thou. persons, increasing with 3,8% compared to the fourth quarter of 2021 (870,3 thousand).

The employed population of 15 years and over is estimated to 862,4 thou. persons, increasing with 1,8% compared to the fourth quarter of 2021 (847,4 thousand). 

Unemployment rate (share of ILO unemployment in the labour force) at the country level was 4,6%, more than in the fourth quarter of 2021 (2,6%)
