National Bureau of Statistics presents information on the situation of young people in the Republic of Moldova in 2023.

Young people represent about a quarter of the population

The number of the population with usual residence population on January 1, 2024 constituted 2423,3 thousand persons, of which 567,7 thousand or 23,4% were young people aged 14-34 years. The distribution of young people by sex was as follows: 49.0% - males and 51.0% - females.
