National Bureau of Statistics communicates that in 2024:

• small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) accounted for 99.2% of the total number of reporting enterprises (similar as in 2023);

• the average number of employees in SMEs constituted 356.0 thousand, owning 65.5% of the total average number of employees of enterprises(compared to 65.3% in 2023);

• sales revenues of SMEs amounted to 308.0 billion lei or 46.1% of total sales revenues in the economy (compared to 45.0% in 2023).
