Evolution of consumer prices in the Republic of Moldova in October 2022

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, the average consumer prices in October 2022 compared to September 2022 increased with 2,62% (compared to 2,12% in the corresponding period of 2021). The increase in average consumer prices was caused by the increase in food prices with 3,35%, in non-food prices with 1,09% and services provided to the population with 3,85%.

Inflation since the beginning of the year

Average consumer prices in October 2022 compared to December 2021 (from the beginning of the current year) increased with 27,95%, including food with 29,17%, non-food goods with 18,85% and services provided to the population with 40,16%.

Annual inflation

Average consumer prices in October 2022 compared to October 2021 (in the last 12 months) increased with 34,62%, including food with 36,23%, non-food goods with 21,78% and services provided to the population with 52,65%.
