The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to the results of the Labour Force Survey (LFS), in the third quarter of 2022 the labour force (active population of 15 years and over) of the Republic of Moldova, which includes the employed population and unemployed population, was 901,8 thou. persons, which is 0,7% less than in the third quarter of 2021 (908,3 thou.).

The employed population of 15 years and over amounted to 879,5 thou. persons, decreasing compared to the third quarter of 2021 (885,7 thou.). 

Unemployment rate (share of unemployed ILO in the labour force) at the country level was 2,5%, at the same level as in the third quarter of 2021 (2,5%).
