National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2023, the total length of aqueducts and public water distribution networks amounted to 20,8 thousand km and, compared to the previous year, expanded by 3,5% or 630,2 km of newly built networks (with 84,8 km in urban areas and 545,4 km in rural areas).

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2021, the total length of aqueducts and public water distribution networks expanded by 557,3 km of newly built networks, 39,7 km in urban areas and 517,6 km in rural areas and amounted to 16,4 thousand km.
In 2020, the total length of aqueducts and public water distribution networks expanded by about 500 km of newly built networks, or by 3,4% and amounted to 15,4 thousand km. Compared with 2016, the total length of water supply and public water distribution network was increased by 15,8%. Also, 49,9 km of aqueducts and public water distribution networks were rebuilt.
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that annually, works for the rehabilitation, modernization and expansion of public water supply systems are carried out. In 2019, the total length of aqueducts and public water distribution networks has expanded by 0,4 thousand km, thus accounting for 14,7 thousand km. Compared to 2016, the total length of public water distribution networks increased by 10,5%.
National Bureau of Statistics reports that in 2018 compared to the previous year the number of water supply systems has increased by 6 units, thus on the territory of the country there are 1220 water supply systems. Out of the total aqueducts, 1168 systems or 95,7 percent were operating during the year, at the same time, 11 aqueducts were rebuilt, of which 10 in rural localities.

Out of the total aqueducts, 1150 systems or 94,7 percent were operating during the year, at the same time, 26 aqueducts were rebuilt, of which 25 in rural localities.

Out of the total aqueducts, 1115 systems or 94.4 percent were operating during the year.

Of the total water pipe network 94 percent or about 1044 systems were functioning during the mentioned year.The total length of water pipelines and drinking water supply networks amounted to 12,8 thousand km or 2,3 thousand km more than in 2014.

Of the total water pipe network 94 percent or about 784 systems were functioning during the mentioned year. The total length of water pipelines and drinking water supply networks amounted to 10,5 thousand km or 0,6 thousand km more than in 2013.

From the total of aqueducts during 2011 year there had acted 643 systems (88,9%) or with 32 aqueducts more than in previous year and with 129 compared with 2008.
