National Bureau of Statistics informs that in 2023 the number of live births was 24,0 thousand persons, decreasing by 3,0 thousand children (or 11,0%) compared to 2022. Of the number of live-born children, 50,9% were boys, with a sex ratio of 104 boys per 100 girls.
