National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to the results of the Labor Force Survey (LFS), in the first quarter of 2023, the population outside the labor force aged 15 and older was 1143,3 thousand persons, decreasing with 10,4% compared to the first quarter of 2022 (1276,0 thousand).

Among the inactive population, the share of women (58,2%) was higher compared to that of men (41,8%), and the share of inactive people in rural areas was higher than the share of those in urban areas (respectively 62,8% and 37,2%).
