„The National Bureau of Statistics informs about the postponement of the press-release „Labor force. Employment and unemployment in the first quarter of 2020” from June 4 to June 19 a.c. Also, the update of tables from Statbank are also postponed, from June 4th to June 19.

 

The extension of the term was caused by the establishment in the country of the Emergency State in the period 17.03-15.05.2020, which disrupted the activity of the central public authorities with which the NBS cooperates, thus they had a special working regime during this period. For these reasons, the NBS did not receive in the established terms (according to the Statistical Works Program) the information necessary to calculate the number of the usual resident population, which is used to extend the results of the Labor Force Survey."
