The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2024, compared to the previous year, in the entities that carried out research and development activity:

• over 3.3 thousand people worked, or 0.2 thousand people less (by 5.8%) compared to the previous year;

• expenditures for research and development activity amounted to 699.1 million lei, or 28.0 million lei (by 4.2%) more compared to 2023, recording about 0.22% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP)² (at the level of 2023).
