The statistical data are presented for 2018 compared to 2014, thus providing an evolution of the situation of children in the Republic of Moldova during this period.
National Bureau of Statistics informs that in 2019 the gross written premiums amounted to 1625,4 million lei, increasing by 7,1% compared to the gross premiums written in the 2018. Compensation and insurance indemnities paid amounted to 663,5 million lei, increasing by 25,8% compared to the payments made in the 2018.

Industrial production price indices
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in February 2020 the producer prices in industry increased with 0,1% compared to January 2020, with 2,8% compared to February 2019 and with 0,3% compared to December 2019.
Taking into account the state of emergency throughout the territory of the Republic of Moldova, aiming at ensuring the security and health of NBS employees and respondents, as well as for preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus, NBS informs that starting with the 16th of March the activities of the institution have been adjusted.
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to preliminary data, in 2019, the gross domestic product totaled 210,1 billion lei, current market prices, increasing - in real terms - by 3,6% compared to 2018 semifinal. In quarter IV 2019, GDP totaled 54,9 billion lei, current market prices, increasing - in real terms - with 0,2% compared to quarter IV 2018 on gross series, and with 0,9% on the seasonally adjusted series.
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in February 2020 the annual inflation registered 6,41%, including: food products – 11,04, nonfood products – 3,24% and services – 3,83%. The consumer price index in February 2020 compared to January 2020 registered 99,98%.
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2019 tourism agencies and tour-operators provided tourism services to 376,6 thousand tourists and excursionists, with 16,4% more than in the 2018. The growth of the number of tourists and excursionists was caused by increase of outbound tourism, internal tourism and inbound tourism.
According to the results of the Labor Force Survey, in the IV-th quarter 2019 the labor force of the Republic of Moldova, which includes employed plus unemployed population, constituted 887,7 thousand persons.
Sales indices of agricultural production prices
National Bureau of Statistics informs that producer prices of agricultural products in 2019 registered 103,8% compared to 2018.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that the average gross monthly earnings of the national economy in 2019 amounted to 7356,1 Lei and increased in nominal value with 14,1% compared to 2018 and in real terms - with 8,9%.
According to information of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2019, 31,7 thousand crimes were recorded on the territory of the country, registering a decrease of 20,4% compared to the previous year. The crime rate is 118 offenses per 10 thousand residents compared to 141 offenses in 2015.
National Bureau of Statistics communicates that in January-December 2019 value of investments in fixed assets amounted to 27,8 billion lei, increasing by 9,4% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-December 2019 were put into operation 8994 dwellings with total area of 688,2 thousand m², or with 45,9% more than in January-December 2018.
National Bureau of Statistics informs that a number of 374,8 thou. tourists attended the establishments of collective touristic accommodation in during the period of January-December 2019, of which 200,7 thou. of resident tourists and 174,0 thou. of non-resident tourists. In comparison to January-December 2018, the number of tourists accommodated in the collective tourist reception facilities increased due to its growth in hotels and motels and rest structures. At the same time, the number of tourists accommodated in hostels for visitors, tourist and agrotouristic pensions, in health-improving structures and holiday camps decreased.

In the same time the manufacturing industry registered an increase.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, volume index of global agricultural production, in all types of households in 2019, according to preliminary estimations, registered 98,1% compared to 2018. The decrease of global agricultural production was determined by the decrease of livestock production with 6,0% and vegetal production - with 0,3%.
