National Bureau of Statistics informs that, the average sale prices of agricultural products sold by agricultural enterprises in January-September 2011 compared to the corresponding period of the previous year have increased with 19,9%. Average selling prices for plant products increased (with 28,7%), for animal products fell with 0,8%.

The turnover of goods in September 2011 summed up 341,7 mio. tonne-km, with 3,8% more than in the previous month and with 4,6% more than in September 2010.

National Bureau of Statistics informs, that at the beginning of the year 2011 in the Repblic of Moldova lived 512,3 thousand persons of 60 years old and over , of which women represent more than a half (60,5%). Two thirds of the entire aged population live in rural area. Every fourth person is between 60-64 years old and 14,1% are persons wich are more than 80 years old.
