The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in April 2012 compared to March 2012 the consumer price index (CPI) registered 100,2%, and 104,7% compared to April 2011. From the beginning of the year (April 2012 compared to December 2011) consumer prices increased with 1,2%.
Sales indices of agricultural production prices
National Bureau of Statistics reports that producer prices (average sale prices of agricultural products by agricultural enterprises) compared to the corresponding period of the previous year have decreased with 0,4%.

The increase of global agricultural production was determined by the increase of animal production - with 0,6%, with a share in total agricultural production of about 99%.

National Bureau of Statistics communicates that in 2011 living subsistence constituted in average per person 1503,0 lei, which is with 9,4% more than in 2010. The increase of the living subsistence is determined mainly by the increase of prices, especially for foodstuff products.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that the index оf industrial production in January 2012 in comparison with January 2011 constituted 95,8%.The decrease of industrial production was determined by the reduction of the production volume in manufacturing industry with 2,5% and in the energy sector - with 8,9%. Simultaneously, in the reference month an increase of 41,7% was registered in the mining industry.

Sales indices of agricultural production prices
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, the average sale prices of agricultural products sold by agricultural enterprises in 2011 compared to 2010 increased 10,0%. Average selling prices for plant products increased 12,5%, while for animal products remained at the same level.
National Bureau of Statistics communicates that 35,1 thou. crimes were registered in 2011, which is 5,2% more than in 2010, and 41,8% than 2006. Of total crimes, 2/3 were registered in urban area. The number of registered crimes per 10 thousand inhabitants was 99 cases in 2011 compared to 69 in 2006.
