The National Bureau of Statistics informs that according to the results of the Labor Force Survey (LFS), the underemployed labor force for the age of 15 years and older constituted 62,4 thousand persons in the first quarter of 2022, decreasing by 23,3% compared to the first quarter of 2021 and by 21,3% compared to the first quarter of 2020. The share of underutilized labor in the total extended labor force (underemployment rate) was of 7,2%, less than the values recorded in the first quarter of 2021 and 2020 and up from the previous quarter.

All components of the underemployed workforce (ILO Unemployed, underemployed people and potential labor force) recorded lower values compared to the first quarter of 2020 and 2021.
