Freight and passenger transportation in January-March 2009

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-March 2009 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 1527,8 thou. tonnes of goods, or 35,6% of the total volume realized in same period of the previous year. The decrease of the volume of transported goods has been registered by railway (-69,4%), road transport (-52,5%) and air (-14,2%) transport.

The turnover of goods decreased with 57,7% comapring to January-March 2008, as a result of the decrease of railway (-71,0%), road (-29,2%) and air (-16,4%) transport.
