National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to the preliminary estimation of the second quarter of 2023, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) amounted to 70,2 billion lei, current market prices, decreasing - in real terms - by 2,2% compared to the second quarter of 2022 on the gross series. On the seasonally adjusted series, GDP in the second quarter of 2023 has decreased by 2,3% compared to the second quarter of 2022 and by 0,5% compared to the first quarter of 2023.

Estimated GDP for the first semester of 2023, according to preliminary data, amounted to 133,9 billion lei, down in real terms by 2,3% compared to the first semester of 2022.
