National Bureau of Statistics informs, that:

• in March 2024 compared to March 2023 industrial production (gross series) decreased by 0.6%;

• in January-March 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year industrial production (gross series) increased by 2.2%.

The decrease in production (gross series) in March 2024 compared to March 2023 (by 0.6%) was caused by decreases in extractive industries (-14.3%) and manufacturing industries (-8.9%), generating decreases in total industry production by 0.3% and 6.8% respectively.

At the same time, there was an increase in the production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning (+30.6%), attenuating the decrease in total industry production by 6.5%.
