Passengers and freight transportation in the Republic of Moldova in January-March 2021

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that 14,5 million passengers were transported with public transport in January-March 2021, with 26,9% less than in the similar period of 2020. The passengers turnover constituted 578,3 million passenger-kilometers, with 40,0% less than January-March 2020.

In January-March 2021 the railway, road, river and air transport enterprises transported 3,1 million tonnes of goods, a volume lower than the one recorded in the same period of 2020 with 14,6%. The turnover of goods totaled 1033,3 million tonnes-km, with 11,1% less compared to the corresponding period of 2020.
