National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to the results of the Labour Force Survey (LFS), in the third quarter of 2023:

• the population outside the labour forceaged 15 and over was 1112.3 thousand persons, decreasing by 9.4% compared to the third quarter of 2022;

• the inactivity rate of the population aged 15 and over was 54.0%, down by 3.7 percentage points compared to the third quarter of 2022.

Within the inactive population, the share of women (58.0%) was higher than that of men (42.0%), and the share of inactive people in rural areas was higher than the share of those in urban areas (60.0% and 40.0% respectively).
