The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-September 2019 tourism agencies and tour-operators provided tourism services to 319,2 thousand tourists and excursionists, with 15,3% more than in the corresponding period of 2018. The growth of the number of tourists and excursionists was caused by increase of inbound tourism, internal tourism and outbound tourism.

Lei, that is 103,2% in comparable prices compared to January-September 2018. About 60% of the total number of elderly people are women. Every third person is aged between 60-64 years and 11,3% are people who are more than 80 years old.
