National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the real sector units with 4 or more employees and all budgetary institutions, in the fourth quarter of 2024 the average gross monthly earnings amounted to 15024,5 lei, and increased by 12,1% compared to the fourth quarter of 2023 and by 6,4% compared to the third quarter of 2024.
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to preliminary data, in 2024 investments in long-term assets amounting to 35.2 billion lei, increasing by 7.9% (in comparable prices) compared to 2023, of which investments in tangible assets amounting to 34.1 billion lei (increasing by 8.2%); investments in intangible assets amounting to 1.1 billion lei (descreasing by 1.1%).
In 2024, 24.6 thousand crimes were registered on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, which is 2.5% more compared to 2023, but less 6.5% compared to 2020. The crime rate in 2024 accounted for 102 crimes per 10,000 inhabitants, compared to 99 crimes in 2023.
National Bureau of Statistics informs that the gross agricultural production, in all categories of agricultural producers in 2024 amounted 85,4%, in comparable prices, compared to 2023. At the same time: crop production decreased by 22,9%, livestock production increased by 5,7%.

This evolution was due to the increase in the number of passengers transported by air (+24.0%), road (+22.9%) and trolleybus transport (+7.8%). At the same time, the number of passengers carried by railway (-23.9%) decreased during the analyzed period.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that the number of the usual resident population as of the reference date of the 2024 Population and Housing Census (PHC) – April 8, 2024 (according to preliminary results) was 2 401.2 thousand persons.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in December 2024 producer prices in industry remained at the level of the current month, November, decreased with 1,3% since the beginning of the current year.
National Bureau of Statistics informs, that in November 2024 compared to November 2023 industrial production (gross series) decreased by 3,6%, in January-November 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year industrial production (gross series) decreased by 0,6%.
Exports of goods in November 2024 were amounted to 335,5 million USD, with 1,4% more than in October 2024 and 11,5% less than in November 2023. Exports of goods in January-November 2024, amounted to 3285,2 million USD, which is 12,1% less than in the corresponding period of 2023.
National Bureau of Statistics launches the online survey „User satisfaction with NBS products and services”. The purpose of this user survey is to evaluate the degree of user satisfaction with the products and services provided by the NBS, in order to improve their quality and adapt them to the informational needs of the users.
In the 2024/25 study year, there are 16 higher education institutions, of which 12 public higher education institutions (8 units in in the municipality of Chisinau and 1 unit each – in the municipalities of Balti, Cahul, Comrat and the city of Taraclia) and 4 private higher education institutions – all in the municipality of Chisinau.
The National Bureau of Statistics informs at the beginning of 2024/25 study year were active 1185 institutions of primary and general secondary education, inclusive: 88 primary schools, 752 gymnasiums, 337 lyceums, 6 schools for children with mental or physical handicap and 2 evening schools, the number of pupils in primary and general secondary education amounted to 335.1 thousand persons, of which 334.1 thousand persons study in day schools and 1.0 thousand persons in evening schools.
