The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, exports of goods in November 2022 registered a value of 355,8 millions US dollars, with 1,1% more than in the previous month and with 2,2% less compared to November 2021. Imports of goods in November 2022 amounted 859,1 millions US dollars, with 14,4% more than in the previous month and with 22,5% more compared to November 2021.

(Comunicat) Evolution of consumer prices in the Republic of Moldova in December 2022 and in 2022

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that average consumer prices in December 2022 compared to November 2022 increased by 0,8% (compared to 1,7% in the corresponding period of 2021). The increase in average consumer prices was caused by the increase in prices of food products and services provided to the population by 1.2%. Average prices of non-food goods in December 2022 remained approximately at the previous month's level.

The Statistical yearbook "Chisinau in figures" is the most complete publication, which comprises statistical data regarding the demographic, social and economic situation of the municipality. The yearbook is structured in 15 chapters, containing information from various fields: general data, population, labour force, population incomes and expenditures, education, culture and sport, health protection and social protection, dwellings and public utilities, environment, justice.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2021 the number of reporting enterprises was 52,5 thousand enterprises, of which 38,3 thousand active enterprises or about 72,9% of the total number of reporting enterprises. During 2021, 5,3 thousand enterprises were created and 5,5 thousand enterprises were liquidated.

The yearbook contains the most recent statistical data available in various fields, for economic and social characterization of the country in 2021, as well as the evolution in recent years of the main indicators. The data on some indicators are revised compared to those previously published, and for 2021 some indicators are preliminary and in further editions can be revised. The relative indicators reported to the number of population were revised based on the usual resident population.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, at the beginning of the 2022/23 academic year, there were 56,7 thousand students in higher education and decreased by 4,8% compared to the previous academic year. Of the total number of students, 62,7% were enrolled in full-time programmes, and 37,3% in part-time.

For the first time chapters regarding natural disasters and change of weather were included in the publication.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, exports of goods in October 2022 registered a value of 352,0 millions US dollars, with 10,5% more than in the previous month and with 0,1% less compared to October 2021. Imports of goods in October 2022 amounted 749,2 millions US dollars, with 11,3% less than in the previous month and with 15,8% more compared to October 2021.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to the results of the survey “Distribution of employees by earnings size in September 2022”, the average gross monthly earnings at the units in the real sector with 4 and more employees and in budgetary institutions in September this year was 10353,3 lei.
