National Bureau of Statistics informs, that: value of manufactured industrial production (in current prices) in 2023 amounted to 87.6 billion lei, which is 96.4% in comparable prices compared to 2022; the industrial sector of the economy is mainly determined by the activity of manufacturing enterprises, which in 2023 accounted for 83.9% of the total value of manufactured production.

National Bureau of Statistics communicates that in 2023: small and medium-sized enterprises accounted for about 99.2% of the total number of reporting enterprises (similar as in 2022);the average number of employees in SMEs constituted 352.1 thousand, owning 65.3% of the total average number of employees of enterprises (compared to 65.6% in 2022).

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to the results of the business survey, in the opinion of managers, in the third quarter of 2024 is expected: moderate growth of prices of products and goods; relative stability of economic activity, sales turnover and number of employees.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in June 2024 producer prices in industry: remained at the level of the current May and increased by 0,3% since to beginning of the current year.decreased with 0,8% compared to June 2023.

National Bureau of Statistics informs, that: in May 2024 compared to May 2023 industrial production (gross series) decreased by 5.2%; in January-May 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year industrial production (gross series) increased by 1.3%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, exports of goods in May 2024 registered a value of 277.9 millions US dollars, with 5.1% less than in April 2024 and with 17.4% less than in May 2023. Imports of goods in May 2024 amounted 690.5 millions US dollars, with 11.1% less than in the previous month and 2.6% more than in May 2023.
