On the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons, which is marked annually on 1 October, the National Bureau of Statistics presents information on the situation of the elderly, according to the data available for 2023.

National Bureau of Statistics informs, that: in July 2024 compared to July 2023 industrial production (gross series) increased by 13,8%; in January-July 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year industrial production (gross series) increased by 2,3%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in August 2024 producer prices in industry: decreased with 0,4% compared to July this year; increased with 0,1% since the beginning of the current year; decreased with 0,2% compared to August 2023.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to the results of the ,,Labor Force Survey” (LFS), in the first of 2024, young people aged between 15-34 years were represented by the following categories of people: young people neither in employment nor in education and training (NEET), the proportion of which was 25,3%, of the total (-1.8 p.p. compared to the second quarter of 2023).

Exports of goods in July 2024 were amounted to 284,9 million USD, with 1.2% less than in June 2024 and 6.3% less than in July 2023. Exports of goods in January-July 2024, amounted to 2065,5 million USD, which is 12,0% less than in the corresponding period of 2023.
