The National Bureau of Statistics reports that in January-June 2025, public transport companies transported 164.3 million passengers, 16.2% more than in the same period last year. This evolution was due to the increase in the number of passengers transported by air (+34.0%), trolleybus (+22.5%), river (+7.1%) and road transport (+5.9%).

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that insurance companies in January-June 2025 received accrued gross premiums in the amount of 1593.0 mln. lei, increasing by 2.6% compared to the same period of the previous year, recorded revenues and expenses higher than those in the corresponding period of 2024, respectively by 7.9% and 10.6%, paid out insurance indemnities and compensations in the amount of 660.2 mln. lei, or 23.9% more than in the first half of 2024.

The statistical compilation contains information regarding the labour market in the Republic of Moldova in 2024, compared to previous years. There are presented data regarding economically active population, employment and unemployment by activities, age groups, sex, area, level of education etc.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to the results of the annual survey "Earnings and Labour Force Cost in 2024", the average gross nominal monthly earnings of an employee amounted 13990,0 lei, increasing with 14,6% (or 1780,8 lei) compared to 2023.

The National Bureau of Statistics reports that the volume of construction works in the second quarter of 2025 increased by 45.3% compared to the second quarter of 2024 (at comparable prices),in January-June 2025 grew by 35.1% compared to the corresponding period of 2024 (at comparable prices).

National Bureau of Statistics informs, that in June 2025 compared to June 2024, industrial production increased by 3,2%, in January-June 2025 (cumulative from the beginning of the current year), compared to the same period of the previous year, it increased by 1,6%.
