The National Bureau of Statistics reports that, according to the results of the Labour Force Survey (LFS) in 2025: the labour force (active population aged 15 years and over) amounted to 805.0 thousand persons; the employed population aged 15 and over amounted to 774.0 thousand persons; the employment rate was 40.2%; the unemployment rate for the country as a whole amounted to 3.8%.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that insurance companies in 2025 compared to 2024 year: received accrued gross premiums in the amount of 3351,2 million lei, increasing by 3,1%; paid out insurance indemnities and compensations in the amount of 1492,9 million lei, or 16,3% more; recorded revenues and expenses higher than in 2024, respectively by 1,1% and 6,2%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in February 2026 producer prices in industry: decreased with 0,2% compared to January this year; decreased with 0,2% since the beginning of the current year; increased with 2,2% compared to January 2025.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that the preliminary estimations of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP): in the fourth quarter of 2025 increased in real terms by 3.6% compared to the fourth quarter of 2024; in 2025 grew in real terms by 2.4% compared to 2024.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in February 2026, the average consumer prices increased compared with January 2026 by 0.5%.
