National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the real sector units with 4 or more employees and all budgetary institutions, in the first quarter of 2026: the average gross monthly earnings amounted to 15987,1 lei, and increased by 9,7% compared to the first quarter of 2025 and decreased by 2,3% compared to the fourth quarter of 2025.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in january-march 2026, investments in long-term assets amounting to 6,2 billion lei, or 2,4% less than in january-march 2025 (in comparable prices), of which: investments in tangible assets amouting to 5,7 billion lei, or decreasing by 1,5%; investments in intangible assets amouting to 0.4 billion lei, in decrease by 13,2%.

As of January 1, 2025, the number of children aged 0–17 in the Republic of Moldova accounted for 553.0 thousand1, representing 23.2% of the usual resident population. The number of live births in 2025 was 22.1 thousand, marking a decrease of 6.6% compared to 2024.

In 2025, the total length of water supply pipelines and public water distribution networks amounted to 22.4 thousand km, increasing by 715.1 km or 3.3% compared to the previous year. The length of newly constructed public water distribution networks amounted to 511.1 km.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that the number of registered deaths in 2025, according to provisional data, was 32,1 thousand, decreasing with 1,5 thousand (or 4,4%) compared to 2024.

The National Bureau of Statistics reports that in January-March 2026, public transport companies transported 82,8 million passengers, 0,7% more than in the same period of the last year. This evolution was due to the increase in the number of passengers transported by air (+9,4%) and trolleybus (+1,5%) transport.
