National Bureau of Statistics presents a new edition of the statistical  publication "Moldova in figures". This edition comes with updated and improved content and design, in order to facilitate understanding of statistical data by the general public and to increase their use and usefulness.

Exports of goods in April 2026 were amounted to 269.6 million EUR, with 9.6% less than in March 2026 and with 13.5% more compared to April 2025.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that the preliminary estimations of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP): In the first quarter of 2026, it increased in real terms by 0.4% compared to the first quarter of 2025.

From June 1 to 12 this year, the National Bureau of Statistics is hosting a mission by an international census expert, Diana Beltadze, dedicated to providing support to the Bureau in finalizing the processing of data collected during the 2024 Population and Housing Census regarding housing and households. These datasets are scheduled for release on June 30, in accordance with the Release Calendar.

On June 9, 2026, Oleg Cara, General Director of the National Bureau of Statistics, met with Maha Damaj, the Country Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund in the Republic of Moldova, on the occasion of the conclusion of her term. During the discussion, Maha Damaj expressed her gratitude for the joint efforts of the NBS and UNICEF, which have significantly contributed to expanding the availability, quality, and use of statistical data on children and families in the Republic of Moldova.
