Exports of goods in February 2026 were amounted to 285,5 million EUR, with 7,8% more than in January 2026 and with 10,5% more compared to February 2025.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2025, in early childhood education institutions: 1465 institutions were active, of which 351 units operated in urban areas and 1114 units in rural areas; the number of enrolled children was 122.9 thousand people, of which 121.9 thousand children (or 99.2%) were in publicly owned institutions and 1.0 thousand children (or 0.8%) in private institutions.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in March 2026, the average consumer prices increased: compared to February 2026 by 1.3% (the monthly consumer price index amounted to 101.3%); compared to December 2025 by 2.7% (the consumer price index since the beginning of the current year amounted to 102.7%); compared to March 2025 by 5.8% (the consumer price index in the last 12 months amounted to 105.8%).

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, based on the Household Budget Survey (CBGC), in 2025: the disposable income of the population amounted to an average of 5767,0 lei per person per month, increasing by 9,1% compared to 2024; the consumption expenditures of the population amounted to an average of 4995,5 lei per person per month, 13,3% more compared to 2024.

The National Bureau of Statistics reports that, according to the results of the Labour Force Survey (LFS) in 2025: the labour force (active population aged 15 years and over) amounted to 805.0 thousand persons; the employed population aged 15 and over amounted to 774.0 thousand persons; the employment rate was 40.2%; the unemployment rate for the country as a whole amounted to 3.8%.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that insurance companies in 2025 compared to 2024 year: received accrued gross premiums in the amount of 3351,2 million lei, increasing by 3,1%; paid out insurance indemnities and compensations in the amount of 1492,9 million lei, or 16,3% more; recorded revenues and expenses higher than in 2024, respectively by 1,1% and 6,2%.
