National Bureau of Statistics informs that in 2024 the number of live births was 22,1 thousand persons, decreasing by 1,5 thousand children (or 6,6%) compared to 2024. Of the number of live-born children, 51,2% were boys, with a sex ratio of 105 boys per 100 girls.

Exports of goods in March 2026 were amounted to 298.1 million EUR, with 4.4% more than in February 2026 and with 7.5% more compared to March 2025. Imports of goods in March 2026 amounted to 932.4 million EUR, with 13.4% more compared to February 2026 and with 4.9% more compared to March 2025.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-March 2026, the number of visitors (tourists and excursionists), participants in tourism organized by travel agencies and tour operators totalled 65.9 thousand people (an increase of 11.4% compared to January-March 2025).

The National Bureau of Statistics informs about the publication of the statistical report “Children’s Activities.” The publication presents a synthesis of the main statistical indicators regarding the socio-demographic characteristics of children and their involvement in school, economic, and household activities at the national level, in conditions of international comparability.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in April 2026, the average consumer prices increased: compared to March 2026 by 1,8% (the monthly consumer price index amounted to 101.8%);compared to December 2025 by 4,5% (the consumer price index since the beginning of the current year amounted to 104.5%); compared to April 2025 by 6,8% (the consumer price index in the last 12 months amounted to 106.8%).
