National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to the results of the business survey, in the opinion of managers, in the fourth quarter of 2026 is expected: moderate growth of prices of products and goods; relative stability of economic activity, sales turnover and of number of employees.

On 20 October 2026, to mark Statistician’s Day, the national celebration of the statistics profession, and European Statistics Day, the National Bureau of Statistics opened its doors to members of the public interested in the institution’s work and in statistics more broadly.

On the occasion of Statistician’s Day, celebrated annually on 20 October, the National Bureau of Statistics presents a series of infographics highlighting the institution’s main statistical products, new statistical surveys and new tools through which official data are made available to users.

On the occasion of Statistician’s Day, celebrated annually in the Republic of Moldova on 20 October, the National Bureau of Statistics extends its warmest congratulations to all those whose professionalism, responsibility and dedication help keep society and the international community well informed.

To mark Statistician’s Day in the Republic of Moldova, the National Bureau of Statistics has launched a quiz for anyone wishing to test their knowledge of statistics. The quiz, entitled “How well do you know the statistics about the Republic of Moldova?”, can be accessed via this link.

To mark Statistician’s Day, observed on 20 October, the National Bureau of Statistics, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research and the National Agency for Curriculum and Evaluation, announces the organisation of the country’s inaugural National Statistics Olympiad, aimed at students in general secondary education.
