The number of the population with usual residence population on January 1, 2026 constituted 2365,6 thousand persons, of which 517,3 thousand or 21,9% were young people aged 14-34 years. The distribution of young people by sex was as follows: 47,9% - males and 52,1% - females.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in July 2026, the average consumer prices recorded the following developments: compared to June 2026, they decreased by 0.1%; compared to December 2025, they increased by 4.6%; compared to July 2025, they increased by 6.3%.

The National Bureau of Statistics reports that in January-June 2026, compared to the same period in 2025, gross agricultural output across all categories of farms increased by 8.9% (in constant prices), as a result of an increase: in crop production by 21,2%; in livestock production by 9.0%

National Bureau of Statistics informs, that: value of manufactured industrial production (in current prices) in 2025 amounted to 95,0 billion lei, representing 105,4% in comparable prices compared to 2024; value of delivered production amounted to 88,4 billion lei, of which 60,6 billion lei (68,6% of total delivered production) was delivered to the domestic market and 27,7 billion lei (31,4% of total delivered production) to the external.
