National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) presents provisional data (estimates) on the number of population with usually resident population in the Republic of Moldova on 1 January 2026, which represents the number of persons who were mainly resident in the territory of the Republic of Moldova during the last 12 months of the reference year regardless of temporary absences (for recreation, holidays, visits to relatives and friends, business, medical treatment, religious pilgrimages, etc.).
